On behalf of Solarity Credit Union’s 140 employees, Solarity leaders delivered more than $10,000 in 2023 payroll donations to YWCA Yakima, the Yakima Humane Society and United Way of Central Washington

Solarity team members are passionate about supporting local organizations that provide vital services to the community.

“Our employees are committed to making the Yakima Valley a better place to live and work through their generous support of causes that have meaningful impact within the communities we serve,” said President and CEO, Mina Worthington.

In total, the credit union’s employees donated:

  • $4,662 to the Yakima Humane Society
  • $3,744 to YWCA Yakima
  • $1,153 to the local United Way chapter
  • $522 to Yakima Habitat for Humanity

The credit union itself gave $87,130 in donations and sponsorships. Solarity employees also contributed 450 volunteer hours, equivalent to $15,692 (the value of a volunteer hour in Washington state was estimated at $34.87 in 2021).

All four organizations provide critical services to our community and are always in need of donations and volunteers. Solarity is proud to support these non-profits as community partners in 2024.
