Fifty vehicles. Nearly a full shred truck. 372 pounds of food donations.

That’s what happened when the Moses Lake community came together to protect personal information, clear out clutter and help neighbors in need.

Solarity Credit Union recently hosted a free shred day and food drive at its Moses Lake branch, giving residents an easy way to securely dispose of sensitive documents while supporting local food needs.

And people showed up in a big way.

A secure way to protect personal information

Throughout the event, 50 vehicles stopped by Solarity’s Moses Lake branch with old paperwork ready for secure shredding. By the end of the day, the shred truck was nearly full.

For residents, it was a simple, convenient way to safely dispose of documents and reduce the risk of sensitive information falling into the wrong hands.

But document disposal was only part of the day’s impact.

Moses Lake Shred Day makes a big impact

Residents also dropped off  372 pounds of food for the Moses Lake Food Bank to help support people and families facing food insecurity in the area.

Every can, box and bag represented a contribution from a neighbor, and those individual donations added up to something significant.

The response was a great reminder that even small acts of generosity can make a meaningful difference when people work together.

Proud to be part of the Moses Lake region

Since arriving in Moses Lake, Solarity has valued being part of the Grant County community and finding meaningful ways to support the people who call the area home.

We’re grateful to everyone who participated in this Moses Lake community event, whether you brought documents to shred, donated food, helped spread the word or simply stopped by to say hello.
