Tips for navigating the recent upgrade

Thank you for your patience as we complete our recent upgrades to Solarity’s online banking and mobile app experience. While many members are enjoying the new features, we know some have encountered issues during login.

To help you get up and running smoothly, we’ve compiled a list of helpful tips and ongoing updates. Use the timeline below to stay informed and see the latest fixes as they happen.

  • One Time Pin issues (8/7): Some users have reported difficulty entering their One Time PIN (OTP) in the mobile app. We’re working to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, OTP does appear to be working in the mobile browser version. Click the orange “Login” button at the top of this page.
  • Check your username (8/7): Some iPhone and iPad users may see an old username prefilled on the app login screen. It can be fixed by entering your current username. This is a known bug, and we are working diligently to address it.
  • Re-enable biometrics (8/7): Log in to the mobile app with your current username and password (use the “forgot password” link on the login screen if you need to reset it). Click “Menu” in the lower right corner, then choose the gear icon in the upper left corner. From there, you should be able to re-enable biometric authentication.
  • Reset your password (8/6): If you previously used face ID to log in and have forgotten your password, use the “forgot password” link on the login screen to reset it.
  • Check system compatibility (8/5): The upgrade is supported on the latest versions of these browsers: Chrome, Safari and Microsoft Edge; supported mobile operating systems include Android Version 9.0 (Pie) or higher and iOS Version 16 or higher. If your phone uses an unsupported operating system, you may still be able to login through your mobile browser – click the orange “Login” button at the top of this page.
  • Upgrade your app (8/5):  Make sure you are upgraded to the latest app version: 5.12 

What to expect when logging in for the first time



There is no need to re-enroll if you joined online banking before August 5.

  • You’ll be able to log in using your existing credentials and start enjoying a brighter way to manage your money.

You will need to update your mobile app before logging in.

  • If automatic updates are enabled on your device, the new version should install on its own.
  • If automatic updates are not enabled, you’ll be prompted to update when you open the app.
  • Note: if you are having issues logging in after updating, try deleting and reinstalling the app on your device.
  • Supported operating systems: Android 9.0 and higher, iOS 16 or higher.

Common questions about the upgrade

Yes, your current username and password will stay the same. Once the new digital banking experience is available, you’ll sign in just like you always have. There’s no need to update your login information.

No, you won’t need to re-enroll. Your online banking access will carry over automatically, so you can continue using your existing login without any extra steps.

Alerts are useful for monitoring your account activity in real time. You can get notified immediately when your balance changes or if there is unusual activity on your account. Learn how to create and customize alerts in online banking and the mobile app.

Add an extra layer of protection and stay informed with customizable alerts

Within Solarity's online banking and the Solarity mobile app, you can set up alerts to monitor activity in real time—an easy and effective way to enhance your account security. Whether you prefer text messages, emails or push notifications from the mobile app,* alerts help you stay on top of what’s happening with your accounts. Choose from security alerts or set up notifications for individual accounts so you're always in the know.

Security alerts include:

  • Failed login alert: You’ll receive this alert if someone enters incorrect login information three times in a row when trying to access your online or mobile banking account.
  • Login alert: Notifies you each time someone successfully logs in to your online or mobile banking account.
  • New secure message received: You’ll receive this alert when there’s a new secure message waiting for you in online or mobile banking.
  • Profile change alert: Notifies you when there are changes to your login credentials or contact information.

Account alerts include:

  • Balance Alert: Notifies you when your balance goes above or below the amount you specify
  • Balance Change Alert: Notifies you when your balance changes due to a specific transaction type.
  • Balance Summary: choose daily, weekly, monthly or yearly delivery of your current balance
  • Transaction Size Alert: Notifies you when a transaction above or below the amount you specify posts to your account

Setting up alerts in online and mobile banking helps keep you informed. With the right alerts, you can avoid overdrafts, be notified about large deposits or withdrawals and get an immediate warning if there is unauthorized activity on your account.

How to set up alerts in online banking

Security alerts

1. Log in to Solarity online banking and go to “Messages & Alerts” in the top navigation.

2. Select “Manage Alerts” from the drop-down menu to see your options.

3. Use the toggle switches to manage each alert. Gray means the alert is off; orange indicates the alert is on.

4. Click “Delivery preferences” to choose how you receive your alerts: email, SMS (text message) or push notification in the app. Check all that apply.



Account alerts

1. Log in to Solarity online banking, click on “Messages & Alerts” and select “Manage Alerts” from the drop-down menu.

2. Click “Account alerts” on the left to view your options.

3. Click “Delivery preferences” to manage how you receive your alerts: email, SMS (text message) or push notification in the app.

4. Next, click the alert you want to enable and choose the “+ Add…” option.

5. Enter the values as prompted to customize your alert.

6. Save your changes.
